Met up with old work mates for a Christmas drink. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food looked great. Will have to try it one day.

A tucked away gem of a place. The food was piping hot, and plenty of it. The chowder as a starter is one of the best for flavour I have had. Staff were really nice and friendly, and there is a lovely olde worlde ambience. Open fire was also a lovely touch. Simply - my wife and I found it a great place to go all round. Parking: There are two disabled spots right next to the entrance. Other parking is to the rear. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a purpose built egress at the front, only a few feet from the disabled parking bays.

Just had my first visit to this lovely pub. The staff are amazing. The choice of food and potions are ample. A great choice of real ales . Many thanks

Was made aware of the pub and it's good food reputation by a friend. We took the opportunity to drop by for lunch in the week and we're.not disappointed. Caesar Bacon and Chicken salad was very fresh, great tasting and a great sized portion. Beer garden had plenty of tables and service was excellent. We'll certainly be returning to try their evening meals!

Lovely food, very generous portions, staff were friendly, helpful and nice. Sunday roasts were beautiful, loads of veg, potatoes were perfect. Would definitely recommend. It wasn’t the quickest service for food but definitely worth the wait. We’d definitely come back 😁

This place is a gem. Staff are extremely friendly and kind. We felt like old friends at this place. The food comes out piping hot and absolutely delicious. When they say “be careful the plates are hot” they have taken extra care to ensure your plate stays hot for a long time so you can relax and enjoy your meal so DO NOT TOUCH THE PLATE The exterior is very family friendly and is a great set up for kids of all ages and their parents alike. This visit (our second of many) was a success for the entire family and not only were all the plates cleared but the kids were exhausted. We can’t wait to book again.

Lovely old fashioned, well run pub in a lovely setting. Food is superb and freshly cooked. I think it would be hard to beat to be honest. 5* all the way.
